History
By 2016 No93 was Flax, Cafe, Bar but in 1865 it was Joseph Flood, Printers and Stationers with Alfred Kent, Solicitor having his offices in the rooms above. Moving on to 1900 as you can see in the first picture the shop was Misses Stubbing's, Wool and fancy Stores, and in the Kelly's Directory for 1932 Misses Stubbing's was still going at the same address but now selling Wool, Worsted and Art Needle-Work. In the 1960's after the building was repaired Frank Coleby had moved in and was operating his Sports outfitters, Travel and General Leather Goods shop from No93. By 1998 the shop had become Trendsetters which sold Club and fashion Wear.
After that it has been a succession of bars and coffee shops starting with Rendezvous, Bernard's Coffee House and Licensed Bistro, Winelodge and by 2016 Flax.
