Alan Green

Mayor

I am a Town Councillor for the Pakefield Ward of Lowestoft, where I have lived for the last 40 years.

I have been married to my wife Sue for the last 30 years and have 5 children and 2 step children, all of whom are also happily married. I am the Mayor for the Town Council, as well as Chair of The Friends of the Library in Kessingland (F.O.L.K). I am also the Director of both the Lowestoft Town Football Club and the Lowestoft Town Sports Academy.

Peter Lang

I am a Green Party Councillor representing Elmtree Ward. I am involved in several community organisations working in and around our town.

I have lived in Lowestoft for 34 years. After moving from London with my parents, I used to manage a cycle shop in Oulton Broad and in recent years I have been working in a customer service role with the local authority, having previously been on Committees for Lowestoft BMX club and Gorleston Football Club.

The Suffolk Wildlife Trust’s Carlton Marshes, where I am a volunteer, is a good example of how through team effort and investment an inspiring outcome can be achieved for the good of the environment and the community. This is the type of partnership that Lowestoft needs to thrive.

I  feel that it is so important that the Town Council looks to the future, engages with young people and their interests, as well as looking to the past to enable a lasting and active legacy to be created within our town.

Colin Butler

The family home in Lowestoft has always been in St. Margaret’s East Ward, for which I was elected to the Town Council as an independent candidate in May 2019. Being interested in transport matters, I am a member of Railfuture and East Suffolk Travel Association.

To be sustainable, the community of Lowestoft needs jobs and housing. Now is the time to fight for a better future for the town and us all.
