Not broadsheet ballads of 17th and 18th type, but ones of the Victorian period - often (but not always) of a moralistic nature. The fact that a Lowestoft printer was producing copies of them is certainly within the social context of the time. CREDIT: David Butcher

No60 in 1865 was a bookseller and stationer run by Samuel Tymms.

By 1894 Richard Leach was running a house furnishings store from 60 and 61.  As listed in the 1932 Kelly's Directory.the shop was run by Fredrick Mullender who was a coal and coke merchant with their yard at the rear.

By the 1960's the shop had become North End Fruiterer and Florists, by 2016 the shop and whole building has been turned into flats.CREDIT: Lowestoft High Street, The Butcher, The Baker and The Candlestick Maker by Crispin Hook 2016 Get the book
