NOTE WRITTEN DURING AN AIR RAID ON 21.3.1941
THIS POIGNANT NOTE WAS FOUND BY WORKMEN IN 1992 IN AN OLD AIR RAID SHELTER WHEN PREPARING THÉ SITE IN VICTORIA ROAD, OULTON BROAD, FOR THE PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH - THIS OPENED ON 20.3.1993. IT HAD REMAINED THERE FOR 51 YEARS.
THE LAND WAS ADJOINING THE SURGERY OF A DR WHITEHEAD AND APPEARS TO BE SIGNED BY HIS MAID (Miss I Marjoram) AND GARDNER (L W Bessey). DONATED BY MR F PRAYZES OF BLUNDESTON.
