87 High Street
History
One of Lowestoft's Our Fallen lived here...
In 1865 Samuel Money was running No87 as a Watchmaker's but shortly after this the building became the Exhibition Tavern with Thomas William Davey as the landlord in 1900. (if you have the Lowestoft pub book there is a splendid picture of this pub on page 92)
In the 1932 Kelly's Directory the pub has gone and been replaced by Wood Brothers who ran it as a Pork Butchers. It kept this theme right through until 2012 with it being Henry Thomas Pye shop during the 1960's and then the Triangle Butchery, but by 2016 its just another empty shop. CREDIT:Crispin Hook
