One of Lowestoft's Our Fallen lived here...
Formerly No. 112 and 113, prior to 1891
In 1865 No113 belonged to Charles Nichols and he ran it as a Linen Drapers, It was still recorded there in 1887.
No120 In 1900 the shop was the home of William Catchpole, Bakery but recorded in the Kelly's Directory of 1932 it was his widow now running the bakery as it appears that William has died and Mrs E. M. Catchpole is running the shop. The bakery carried on trading right up to 1967 when the shop closed down as a bakery and became Jack's bargain Stores. The 3rd picture taken in 1998 and you can clearly see that Charles Hawkins is trading as an estate agent under the black horse Agencies.
The 4th picture is taken in 2005 and the shop had become Pirouette who sold dance wear . Now it is A Piece of Cake and has knocked through to No121.
Stanley ran the shop as a Tobacconist right up to the 1970's. As you can see from the advert the shop had become the Norfolk Kitchen and in keeping with that theme it has become A Piece of Cake.
