About MEC..

Hello from the MostEasterly Community Group!

We live, work, trade, promote (and maybe all of these) in Great Britain’s ‘most easterly’ neighbourhood (in Lowestoft, Suffolk).  
 

We love our area and want to make it even better than it already is!

We came together as a community group in 2019 - you can find our constitution ‘here’

Our aims are:

To foster a sense of belonging and neighbourliness within our community
To promote our area as a ‘positive place to live, work and play’.
To represent the common interests of residents, businesses and organisations in the area to official bodies
We were originally set up to support the HAZ (the North Lowestoft Heritage Quarter Action Zone) that is running from 2018 to 2023. Working with Historic England and the two councils of East Suffolk and Lowestoft Town this project aims to re-generate our area by drawing on its historic capital.
