14th Scout Visit

17:35 20 5yr old scouts arrive..
Explore what has happened to seedlings planted last time (via newly mowed path)
Split into 4 groups

1. dig up some potatoes (loosen)
2. Dig up leeks ?
3.  dig up some carrots 
4. water strawberries pots (decking)
5. Choose herbs
    

Gather in pagoda 
Wash hands (bowls of water, towels)
Cooking demo
Involve all children eg
Clean wash potatoes, carrots, pick herb leaves, garlic prep, (adult chop veg) mix in large bowl, add olive oil, mix again, spoon into cups with lids (x20)

• 1 tablespoon baking soda  
• 1/2 cup olive oil  
•  1/2 teaspoon paprika  
•  —Garlic Herb Butter sauce—  3 sprigs fresh thyme  1 to 2 sprigs rosemary  Parsley a handful  5 tablespoons unsalted butter  4 cloves garlic  1 tablespoon lemon pepper  Parsley for garnish
