North Lowestoft Men's Shed landed last Wednesday 5th July 2023.
The lorry hove into view around 5.30pm.
We were taking delivery of a 6m x 2.3m flatpack steel shed – with windows, and, usefully, a door.
We've spent the last two weeks pondering on and creating the foundations – not finished yet.
Once they've been done and cured, we'll start the build. The instructions look simple...
Right now, we can't take on any more members, but once our shed is built, we hope to be able to do so.

On July 5th 2023 our new flatpack shed was craned onto the Land of Hope and Dreams we're borrowing from Greater Anglia.
We finished the foundations the following week, and on 19th July we unpacked the flatpack and began the build.
Our ambitious plan to do it in a day was not achieved, but a good day's work.
The next week we completed the build.

Exist to ensure our sector, and its volunteers, is supported, safe and sustainable and that our communities are active and resilient.
We provide (or signpost) whatever is needed behind the scenes to enable this, so you can concentrate on doing what you do best – making Suffolk an incredible place in which to live and work.

Our Mission
For over 45 years Access Community Trust has proudly provided care and support to those at risk of homelessness and social isolation within our communities. COVID-19 has and continues to present many additional challenges for service users and the organisations that support them. The need to adapt and change at pace requires quick thinking and decisive outcomes. Access Community Trust continues to offer a multitude of wrap round services to help those most at risk within society. This brief video outlines just a handful of additional resilient support services we offer.
