Walk to Ness Point

(Darren has ideas on this!) I love Ness Point but I am in minority because I am a nerd and just wax lyrical about all the maths I could do with kids down there - most people don’t appreciate this so I will stop there… but I still want to promote it. Again, another contention because previous MP (BB) did not want to promote ‘Lowestoft: The Most Easterly Town’ nor ‘Ness Point - Britain’s most easterly point’ (Land’s End? S+W John O’Groats? N so why not E?).

This is still contentious as only the other day Darren said that Wendy B was also saying we shouldn't promote this because ‘we didn’t want to be like Southwold’ i.e. gentrified. No we don’t but not sure Lowestoft would ever be in the running for a new ‘Chelsea on Sea’ (that’s Burnham Market in Norfolk anyway) So we should definitely have info on NESS POINT - how to get there but also when to come and where the sun will be when you do. (I might have to finally take those photos at 8am every morning that I’ve been promising to do for a year… did you know the angle between winter sun and summer sun is nearly 90 degrees - how extraordinary is that??) We need lots of photos and maps and …. We are still in Europe for a day or two aren’t we?
