Stitching The Digital Landscape

Weekly on Monday All day until Sat, 30 Nov 2024

Some  of the work exhibits are a collaboration between Brigitte Quennehen and Debbie Baker.

They met through their sons who are part of The Fools Moon local Band.

Debbie began working 8 years ago. They thought it would be good to explore working together.

The result can be seen at the Mayfly Café as well as some of their individual work.

Brigitte was educated at Collège Camille Saint Saëns, Rouen and studied at the art academy École des Beaux Arts de Rouen 1968-1973 and qualified in 1973 coming to England in 1998. Initially working as an art teacher, she proceeded to freelance work in interior design, architecture, and furniture, fabric, and wallpaper design. Her art is about discovering shapes and graphic concepts from animals and plants in nature, which in turn inspire drawing and many works of art in watercolour, drawings, greeting cards, giclée prints, quilt, wall hangings, furniture, info gravures, interior design. She works in mixed media and in watercolour and works in Computer Photographic Design and in the manipulation of photographic images and patterns, to produce further demonstrations of artistic capabilities in graphic design. She also produces illustrations for children’s books from her studio at 8 The Shires, Corton, Lowestoft, Suffolk. She exhibits at the Southwold Gallery, Lowestoft Arts Centre and Ferini Art Gallery, Pakefield, Lowestoft, all in Suffolk.
