Waveney May Day People's Festival

Free Festival – featuring Mark Burrell, artist; Open Mic stage with Anna Moreira, Junior Campbell, Jon Griffin and many others; a Use It All stall and four discussion sessions: Tomorrow's World – Where are we going?/Climate Emergency – Code Red/End Apartheid: Free Palestine/Stop the War: Stand up to Racism. There will be a collection for Ukrainian Humanitarian Fund

All welcome to Most Easterly Community Group's Big Lunch in the Sparrow's Nest. Come say hello, bring your recycling to Use It All, have a go at lino-cut print-making, jewellery, gardening tips, and more....and maybe bring a picnic, too

May Day weekend. A traditional – 1000's of years – celebration of Spring and the flowering of nature. And since 1978 in the UK a celebration of International Labour Day.

Always willing to indulge, I attended four events spanning the long weekend, which proved, to my satisfaction, that there's always lots to enjoy in Lowestoft.

Eastern Angles are a theatre group who have been writing and performing across East Anglia for nearly forty years, providing a ridiculous number of productions investigating and relishing every aspect of our lives and history.

We are living in the age of waste. Is design the answer to leaving our throwaway culture behind?

Triangle Market 10-12ish

First Saturday of the month - Compass Street, High Street. We collect TetraPaks, crisp packets, toothbrushes and toothpaste tubes, gently  worn bra's, but mainly it's good to use the recycling which is already available, like supermarkets. Use our constantly updated map to find out what can go where (scroll down for the link). We are also a Hygiene Bank Donation Point.
